Museum Goals

• Pro­vide muse­um facil­i­ty for col­lec­tion, exhib­it, stor­age and restora­tion of Mar­itime his­tor­i­cal arti­facts
• Cre­ate and pub­lish mul­ti­me­dia pre­sen­ta­tions about Mis­sis­sip­pi Mar­itime her­itage
• Pro­vide edu­ca­tion­al oppor­tu­ni­ties for youth that encour­ages under­stand­ing and appre­ci­a­tion for Mis­sis­sip­pi’s Mar­itime her­itage
• Pro­vide a facil­i­ty to host lec­tures, edu­ca­tion­al pro­grams and cul­tur­al events to sup­port com­mu­ni­ty aware­ness of Mis­sis­sip­pi’s Mar­itime her­itage
