$250,000 Grant Received for MS Maritime Museum Renovations

The pho­to below shows the pre­sen­ta­tion of a $250,000 check from the State Leg­is­la­ture by Robert Hardy, MMM Trea­sur­er, to Pres­i­dent Dr. Jack Hoover in April 2015. The funds were made pos­si­ble by local State Leg­is­la­tors. This check brings total funds received to date of $512,000 with an addi­tion­al com­mit­ment of $250,000 to be received lat­er this year. These funds will be used to ren­o­vate the MS Mar­itime Muse­um’s build­ing on the old PHS cam­pus on Dupont Street. The old PHS Math & Sci­ence Bldg and the Band Hall will be ren­o­vat­ed before the actu­al muse­um is con­struct­ed in 2016.
