The photo below shows the presentation of a $250,000 check from the State Legislature by Robert Hardy, MMM Treasurer, to President Dr. Jack Hoover in April 2015. The funds were made possible by local State Legislators. This check brings total funds received to date of $512,000 with an additional commitment of $250,000 to be received later this year. These funds will be used to renovate the MS Maritime Museum’s building on the old PHS campus on Dupont Street. The old PHS Math & Science Bldg and the Band Hall will be renovated before the actual museum is constructed in 2016.
